SVMS: Mrs. Calaman often had students ask her what they were doing in class that day. Therefore, she created the to-do list that is changed each day. I continued to implement this procedure when I started teaching in the classroom because it helped students know what day it was and what the game plan was for the day. It provides a sense of anticipation for what will come next and helps keep students and the teacher-librarian on track with what needs to be done by the end of the period.

SVMS: There have been multiple times students have asked me if they can borrow a pencil. However, it is very easy for those pencil to disappear. Therefore, I continued with the classroom procedure of telling a student they need to put a shoe in the pink bin if they need a pencil. Once they return the pencil, they can take their shoe back. This action ensures that students are not walking off with the pencil because they will remember they are not wearing one of their shoes. It also provides for less disruptions during class time because a student will automatically go to the bin without needing to ask first.

PHS: Managing procedures in the library is important to make sure that students are coming down when they're supposed. Teachers and study halls are to issue passes for students to come down and use the library so that attendance can be taken properly and students are not marked as absent or skipping class. The library is also the place where all technology issues are handled so students come down here for troubleshooting. Occasionally, students' chrome books will not be working and they will need a loaner for the day or to take a test in class. A sign-in sheet and the Destiny Catalog are used to keep track of who has materials out. In addition, NHS and math tutors work in the library and the proper sign-in sheets are important to know when students are here and what they are doing.

PHS: While observing the Geometry class with Ms. Robbins, I noticed she had a bulletin board in the back of the classroom with resources on it for students. There is a folder attached with missed work in it for any student to pick up if they were absent. There are also slips of paper for IXL, the online math program. Students can fill out the slip of paper if they did not complete everything for that quarter and receive points back towards their grade by doing the assignments. These resource are useful as overall classroom procedures so that the teacher does not need to reiterate information or have multiple students asking the same questions. Rather, they know what is expected of them and can gather the resources independently.
